Official Trailer release for Studiocanal’s Selma

SELMA

A couple of decades ago, equality was an issue that many people struggled to achieve in society. Imagine people of today fighting over racial differences? Sadly, this still happens but nothing compared to before.

With the recent release of Studiocanal’s trailer of American drama film,  Selma (directed by Ava DuVernay), viewers will find a sense of empathy towards the characters involved. It gives insight to the troubles faced by the African-American race, showcasing their struggle in finding a place where they are not discriminated and judged based on their skin tone. However, this all changes when one person makes a life-changing impact for the rights of the African-American people and this was lead by none other than Martin Luther King.

This film is in commemoration of the 50th anniversary of the Martin Luther King iconic marches, a unique way of displaying his stance and beliefs in his people, being the leader that represented change for the better. Starring David Oyelowo as Martin Luther King (The Butler) with cast Tom Wilkinson, Giovanni Ribisi, Oprah Winfrey, Tim Roth and Cuba Gooding Jnr, Selma intrigues an audience with a trailer that says so little but so much. It gives an incredible insight that sometimes you have to fight harder for what you believe in so that your voice is heard from other people.

Selma will be released next year on the 5th of February so make sure you catch it in cinemas to see one of the most critically acclaimed movies of 2015!
