Not to be confused with gaming giant Grand Theft Auto and its PS2 record breaker, San AndreasDwayne Johnsons latest venture – is no less exciting. And now its has a trailer.

Who doesn’t love a classic disaster movie? While Roland Emmerich has entered a couple of duds into the sub-genre, Brad Peyton (Journey 2: The Mysterious Island) looks like he might have a winner on his hands.

The trailer is light on exposition but heavy on destruction and that’s all we need to know. Johnson drives, flies and runs his way through an earthquake riddled California while Paul Giamatti – apparently the harbinger of doom here – warns that the chaos is about to hit the entire east coast. Cue half of the United States being crumbled and disappearing beneath the earth, This looks like fun and the effects appear to be top notch.

Check out the trailer below.

San Andreas also stars Alexandra DaddarioCarla GuginoColton Haynes and our very own Kylie Minogue,

San Andreas will be released in Australian cinemas on May 28 2015.
