Assassin’s Creed Origins is about to become your one-stop educational guide to Ancient Egypt

The long-awaited Discovery Tour by Assassin’s Creed: Ancient Egypt content drop for Assassin’s Creed Origins will arrive tomorrow. The update bringing with it a feature that many players have asked for since the series inception — the ability to learn more about the game’s painstakingly recreated Ancient Egyptian history using its interactive setting.

No combat, no story, no content walls, no barriers. Players can explore the entire world of Assassin’s Creed Origins at their leisure without worrying about being waylaid by side-quests or random combat encounters with animals or enemies.

They can also embark on any of the 75 themed and guided tours made available around various monuments and important landmarks as they would when exploring a museum or gallery. It’s a big moment for Ubisoft, who’ve been loud and clear about their desire to introduce an educational mode for students and teachers for some time now.

The mode will be made available to owners of Assassin’s Creed Origins on Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and Windows PC at no charge. It will also be available as a free, standalone application for Windows PC via Ubisoft’s Uplay online platform.
