Batman: Return to Arkham remaster delayed

Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment have put the upcoming Batman: Return to Arkham remaster bundle into a holding pattern, according to a statement issued on the official Arkham Knight forums.

The remaster, containing updated versions of Batman: Arkham Asylum and Batman: Arkham City, was originally set to release July 27 here in Australia but has now been delayed indefinitely.

“After reviewing the progress of the project, the team at WB Games has decided to delay the release of Batman: Return to Arkham to give the team at Virtuous Games additional time to deliver a polished Batman Arkham game experience,” reads the official statement. “We do not have a release date yet and will be sure to communicate that once we are sure the game will be ready.  We know this is disappointing news, but we feel the extra time will allow the team to create the best gaming experience for our fans.”

The remaster was announced a month ago with an RRP of AU$69.95. The bundle contained both the Arkham Asylum and Arkham City Game of the Year editions, including access to all available DLC. Both games were being remastered using Unreal Engine 4.
