Release dates for all the new PS4 peripherals and your Australian price guide

Sony Interactive Entertainment has announced a slew of new peripherals for the Playstation 4 following the reveal of both the PS4 Slim and PS4 Pro. The wireless dualShock controller, Playstation camera, vertical stand, and a platinum wireless headset, are all sold separately. We have the break-down on each product, when it will be available, and how much cash you will have to part with if you want to own them.

The new DualShock 4 lets light from the light bar emit to touch pad – While this may not seem like a significant change, it will provide gamers with easy access to information about which character they control, and player health status. USB and Bluetooth communication will also be supported. The DualShock 4 is compatibly with PS4, PS4 Slim, and PS4 Pro.

The new Playstation Camera has gone through a redesign. While nothing seems to have changed in terms of functionality, the new camera includes a stand and is in an improved compact cylindrical form.

The Playstation translucent vertical stand is designed with the new slimmer PS4 and PS4 Pro in mind. It comes with two attachments which allow users to mount either the PS4 Slim or the PS4 pro.

Sony’s ‘high end’ gaming headset will feature positional 7.1 virtual surround sound powered by 3D audio technology. Select games will support 3D audio for the headset, which will deliver surrounds from all directions, including above and below you. The headset will include a hidden positional, noise-cancelling microphone, and can be used for PS VR and mobile devices through its audio cable. The headset is said to be built with materials designed for comfort.
