Kylie Minogue and Guy Pearce reunite for production of the star-studded Gold Coast film Flammable Children

Neighbours co-stars Guy Pearce and Kylie Minogue, along with The Adventures of Priscilla, Queen of the Desert crew, Aussie Director and Writer Stephan Elliot, and Producer Al Clark, reunite on set for the production of A-list Gold Coast film, Flammable Children, Becker Film Group has announced.

Flammable Children is set in the 1970’s in a typical Australian beachside neighbourhood, filmed on Queensland’s Gold Coast. The comedy is a love letter to a wold of careless parenting, sunburn, and unsupervised activities.

“When I was finally ready to write it, this script jumped out of my head fully formed – so I appreciate having the opportunity of bringing it to life with such a terrific bunch of collaborators, some of whom I’ve known forever, others that I’m working with for the first time. And, of course, a dream cast of Australian actors who, like me, remember the world I’m describing,” said Writer/Director Stephan Elliott.

The film will bring together three more talented Aussie stars Radha Mitchell (Silent Hill), Asher Keddie (Offspring, X-Men Origins: Wolverine), Golden Globe-nominated Julian McHahon (Nip/Tuck), as well as actor turned producer Jeremy Sims (Last Cab to Darwin), who returns to the screen in Flammable Children.

In addition to the A-list cast, Flammable Children brings an impressive crew, with Oscar and BAFTA Winning Production designer Colin Gibson (Mad Max: Fury Road), Tony Award-winning costume designer Lizzy Gardiner (Adventures of Priscilla, Queen of the Desert), Oscar-nominated make-up artist Rick Findlater (Lord of the Rings, The Hobbit) and Cinematographer Brad Shield (Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales, The Avengers and The Wolverine)

Co-financed by Screen Australia, Piccadilly Pictures, Screen Queensland and Screen NSW, production for Flammable Children will commence Monday, October 17.
