Melbourne is getting the world premiere of Jurassic World: The Exhibition

In a major move for Museum Victoria, the world premiere of Jurassic World: The Exhibition will be taking a place at the Melbourne institution in March 2016, running until October before touring the world. The news was announced this past weekend by Minister for Tourism and Major Events John Eren who detailed the new immersive exhibition based the Steven Spielberg-produced Jurassic World, which has grossed $1.67 billion globally, breaking all types of records.

The exhibition will feature all kinds of life-sized animatronic dinosaurs created by Melbourne’s Creature Technology Company, allowed you to get closer to creatures like the T-Rex than ever before.. Running from 3 March 2016 – 9 October 2016, the temporary exhibition features interactive elements that will have visitors learning all about the rulers of the prehistoric period.

Based on the film and created in part with palaeontologist , Jack Horner, the exhibition allows visitors to enter the Jurassic World as they make their way to the Isla Nublar to check out the Hammond Lab and get a little too close for comfort to some of the more infamous dinosaurs.
