No specific date for launch in September has been confirmed at the time of writing. Further, Nintendo have also remained cagey about any services tied to the subscription not already outlined on the the NSO official site (which has been updated to reflect the new launch window).
Nintendo’s original plan was to launch Nintendo Switch Online in 2017 at a very reasonable sticker price of $19.99 USD per year, along with access to a Classic Games Section packed with fan favourite older titles. A look at the new site confirms these prices still appear to be in place, and online play on the Switch will remain free to all users until September.
We’re waiting for a full press release from Nintendo and will update you with any new information.
After publishing this piece, Nintendo AUNZ confirmed local pricing on the Australian Nintendo Switch Online page. $5.99 will get you a monthly sub, $11.95 will get you three months and $29.95 AUD will get you a full year.
