Paris Games Week 2017: Every trailer from the PlayStation media conference

Christmas arrived a little early this year. PlayStation’s media conference kicked off Paris Games Week with a bang — some solid AAA trailers and a metric tonne of fabulous indie titles to look forward to. There’s a lot to cover so we’ve put every trailer Sony had to show off in one place just because we love you.

The Last of Us Part II
Possibly the biggest trailer in a suite of big trailers. We meet new characters, see them be brutalised and get a feel for the incredibly grim tone of Naughty Dog’s anticipated sequel.

Spider-Man
Finally, a little more on Insomniac’s upcoming Spider-Man (and yes it appears they’re going with the simplest possible title and we’re okay with that). The trailer features Parker in and out of costume, Miles Morales, Norman Osborn, lesser-known-but-still-extremely-rad villain Martin Li aka Mister Negative and more.

Ghost of Tsushima
It’s been a minute since we’ve heard anything from Sucker Punch. Known for their Sly Cooper series in the PS2 era and their inFamous series, not much has been heard from the developer since the launch of inFamous: First Light in 2014. Good to see them back with an interesting new IP. Samurais!

Detroit: Become Human
You either love Quantic Dream or you don’t. The British developer’s determination to craft cinematic, forking narrative games that eschew especially complicated gameplay is the perfect fit for some and it looks like they’re pushing that notion further than ever in Detroit‘s latest trailer.

God of War
Kratos and his kid go on a father-son smashing trip together. The only thing that bugs us about this trailer is the sheer amount of battle chatter from the kid. We can already tell we’re going to hate the little chatterbox.

Shadow of the Colossus
One of the most beloved titles of the PS2 era is getting a PS4 remaster and we are absolutely hype. We mean, look at it.

Destiny 2: Curse of Osiris
Bungie aren’t waiting around this time. Destiny 2‘s first expansion, Curse of Osiris drops next month bringing a raft of fresh content to what is already one of the year’s most popular titles.

Far Cry 5
Let it never be said that Ubisoft don’t know how to have fun with a trailer.

Monster Hunter World
Capcom’s big push to make Monster Hunter a household name in the west continues to look mighty good. Check out our hands on with the game here!

Horizon: Zero Dawn: The Frozen Wilds
One of our favourite games of the year, we are ridiculously hype to spend some more time with Aloy.

Guacamelee 2
Oh snap, Guacamelee is back. If you never got the chance to play the original, please find the time. You won’t be disappointed.

Final Fantasy XV: Episode Ignis
Everyone’s favourite member of the Snooty Boy Adventure Squad is getting his own expansion (now with music by Chrono Trigger‘s Yasunori Mitsuda!)

The Hong Kong Massacre
This looks like Hotline Miami meets John Woo and we are extremely into it.

Concrete Genie
We love the idea of a gentle vandalism simulator. Sweet, charming, looking forward to it.

Call of Duty: WWII
The opposite of sweet and charming but we’re still looking forward to it.

Erica
We weren’t expecting a throwback to the era of 90’s FMV games but here we are anyway. Play it using your Sony Android phone!

Tennis World Tour
For anyone upset about the lack of Top Spin and Virtua Tennis games this hardware generation.

Spelunky 2
SPELUNKY 2!!

Blood & Truth
A PSVR title that looks to expand on the gunplay introduced in The Bank Job demo from the PlayStation VR Worlds suite.

The Sims 4
Now with console friendly UI! And fewer nude mods! Presumably!

Onrush
This just looks like pure, old-school, Motorcross Madness-inspired fun.

Oure
Intense Journey vibes.

LocoRoco 2 Remastered
We’ll roll on with our heads held high (definition).

Star Child
A PSVR title with some really lovely stylistic flourishes.

Megalith
Not much to go on just yet but seems be a god brawler which is pretty neat.

Bow to Blood
Big Treasure Planet vibes from this PSVR sky ship battle title.

The Gardens Between
You might have seen this one at PAX Aus this year in the PAX Rising indie pavilion! Made by The Voxel Agents right here in Melbourne!

Dead Hungry
“Okay, but what if Job Simulator but zombies?”

Stifled
Another PAX Aus indie superstar! Made by Gattai Games from Singapore!

Invector
We’re big fans of music titles and this one looks extremely cool.

Spring Vector
This is going to make us throw up in our PSVR headsets and we can’t wait.

Ultrawings
Somebody thought it was time to bring Pilotwings back after 20 years with a spiritual successor and we’re honestly down for it.

Eden Tomorrow
Looks like another excuse to pull that PSVR gun you got with Farpoint out of storage! At last!

Rec Room
This looks like it’ll be a fun little party game with a series of different minigames to choose from.

League of War: VR Arena
We’ve watched this trailer five times and we still couldn’t tell you what this game is about.

Apex Construct
More shooting, more exploring, more reasons to hang onto that PSVR unit.
