Blade Runner 2 gets an official release date

The follow-up to a film regarded as the greatest science fiction film of all time finally has a release date.

Blade Runner 2 is set for release on January 12th 2018.

Harrison Ford is set to reprise his role from the first film alongside co-star Ryan Gosling with the film picking up several decades after the first film.

The script for the sequel has been written by returning scribe Hampton Fancher (who co-wrote the original Blade Runner script with Ridley Scott) and TV writer Michael Green.

Once again, Blade Runner 2 is set for release on January 12th 2018.
