Dragon Quest VII: Fragments of the Forgotten Past hits the Nintendo 3DS this weekend

Dragon Quest VII: Fragments of the Forgotten Past is set to make its debut in Australia and New Zealand on the Nintendo 3DS handheld console on September 17th. The newest game in Square Enix’s long-running Dragon Quest RPG series has been completely rebuilt and re-imagined for the Nintendo 3DS.

Fragments of the Forgotten Past is the seventh installment in the Dragon Quest series, following Auster and Prince Kiefer who are determined to prove that there is more to life than their home on the island. In doing so, they stumble into a quest that sees them traveling through time in order to save their world. By collecting fragments of tablets and putting them back together the heroes are able to travel to new places and past dungeons in order to save the world.  Over 200 monsters will also be introduced into the game, which the adventures can fight, befriend, and collect in order to grow their personal Monster Meadow.

Dragon Quest joins a large lineup of RPG games on Ninetendo 3DS this year, including Bravely Second: End Layer and Fire Emblem Fates. Look for it in stores this weekend!
