Event Cinemas across Australia reopen for private cinema sessions

For a limited time, groups of up to 20 are now able to head along to their nearest Event Cinemas and indulge in their own private film screening. Through August, Event Cinemas’ complexes will be open for bookings despite COVID-19 putting a major break on new film releases, instead welcoming groups that will be able to pick their own movie from a range of recent releases, cult classics and family favourites.

As long as the film is available, groups who book in advance are able to rent out the entire cinema and indulge in unlimited popcorn and drinks handled by a personal host. That’ll just be $500 per group, which works out at $25 per person (based on 20 people).

“We are always looking for ways to offer new and unique cinema experiences designed to offer an escape into the world of movies and a chance to immerse in film,” said Alex Holden, General Manager Customer Experience, Event Cinemas. “This has seen us launch a suite of world-class cinema concepts like Gold Class, Boutique, 4DX and Event Junior and now we are excited to be offering our first all-inclusive private cinema experience for a limited time.”

Movies offered in the collection include The Personal History of David Copperfield, Babyteeth and Unhinged alongside classics like 10 Things I Hate About You, Fight Club, Grease, Mad Max 1979 and Moulin Rouge as well as Frozen, Jungle Book, Joker, Bohemian Rhapsody, The Matrix and more.

Do note that the offer is subject to state-by-state restrictions so its best to check in with your local first before making a booking.

Bookings must be made by 14th August and are valid for screenings until 31st August. More information can be found at eventcinemas.com.au.
