Exclusive screening announced for the new Australian feature film Last Cab to Darwin

Following its  world premiere at the 2015 Sydney Film Festival,  Icon Film Distribution proudly announces its latest feature, Last Cab to Darwin, will be screening exclusively in Brisbane with director Jeremy Sims attending the event for the first stop in its national tour on the 12th of July.

Australian screen icon Michael Caton, who will also be attending,  gives the performance of a lifetime as Rex, a Broken Hill Cab Driver who, when told he does not have long to live, set’s off on an epic journey to Darwin to die on his own terms. Featuring acclaimed Australian actress Ningali Lawford-Wolf and now Hollywood sensation Jacki Weaver (Silver Linings Playbook)  play the key roles of Polly, Rex’s neighbour and sometime lover in Broken Hill and Dr Farmer, the Darwin based doctor he believes has the answers to his condition.  Variety recognised the performances of these talented actresses and Caton as “never less that note-perfect”. Set against the backdrop of the Australian outback, be sure to catch what’s sure to be a new Australian classic.
