Fallout Shelter finally arrives on Android, out now

Fallout Shelter was originally announced during Bethesda’s press conference at E3 earlier this year. Android fans were left wanting when Bethesda confirmed that only the iOS version would be launching that day. Good news, ‘droid owners – Fallout Shelter is here and you can download for free right now.Fallout Shelter is a base-builder sim that casts you as the Overseer of your own Vault-Tec Vault. In order to make your vault flourish, you will need to manage your vault dwellers, funds and consumables wisely in order to survive.

The Android release co-incides with a substantial update to the iOS version (changes that are reflected in the new Android version) like Mr. Handy, a new robotic companion that will collect resources inside the vault for you (amazing, no more tapping everything all of the time) or you can send him out into the Wasteland for foraging.

You’re still under threat, however – in addition to raiders who’ll break into your Vault and wreck up the place, there are now Deathclaws to deal with too.

Fallout Shelter is out now on iOS and Android.
