2018 Melbourne International Film Festival to open with Australian premiere of Wildlife

The Melbourne International Film Festival (MIFF) will soon be upon us once again, running from 2-9 August, 2018. The 67th outing of the Festival will also mark the premiere of actor Paul Dano’s (Swiss Army Man) directorial debut Wildlife, starring Carey Mulligan (Collateral), Jake Gyllenhaal (Southpaw) and Australia’s Ed Oxenbould (The Visit). ACMI and Film Victoria announce the return of Series Mania Melbourne

After last year’s inaugural Series Mania Melbourne turned out to be a huge success, the world-renowned TV festival will make its return to ACMI this year from 19- 22 July, 2018. The festival will give both fans and members of the local TV industry a look into global trends within drama, comedy and web series alike. Australian director Leigh Whannell among winners of the SXSW Film Festival Audience Awards

Taking place between 9-18 March, the 2018 South by Southwest (SXSW) Conference and Festival in Austin, Texas has come to a close, and with that, the Audience Award winners have officially been announced. The awards cover a range of categories, from documentary features to outstanding narrative structure and creativity.
