Besides tanning, going for a swim and eating fish and chips while trying to avoid those annoying seagulls what’s a better way of spending some downtime on the beach? Flickerfest Australia that is. Being the most respected short film festival to kick off this summer, fellow Sydneysiders will be the first to enjoy a marathon of short films made by filmmakers from all over the world. The festival will be run during the night at Bondi Beach from the 9th to the 18th of January 2015 and will then progress into a national tour up until May. Between January and May, Flickerfest will be touring in over 50 venues across Australia.

The 2015 Flickerfest will overseer 2,400 entries and 100 of the very best will be chosen. These shorts will guarantee to either make you laugh, cry or gasp with delight (or fright)!

Flickerfest is Australia’s largest short film competition and the only with Academy® accreditation and BAFTA recognition and this ensures that all films meet up to the expectation of being entertaining, inspiring and highly creative works of art.

This summer, why don’t you do something that isn’t so cliché? Come to Flickerfest for an opportunity to taste the work of art brought to you by world cinema!
