Fox 8 to screen Beyoncé and Jay-Z “On The Run” exclusively this week

on the run

Express from the U.S, “On the Run” will be premiering exclusively on Fox 8 this Tuesday. Following the immense collaborative tour of husband-wife power couple Beyoncé and Jay-Z, the concert has been a consistently hot topic since it began in late June this year.

The music megastars have produced “On the Run” for HBO, pairing it up with cutting edge cinematography to fully transpose viewers into their massive stadium shows. The tour has covered 19 concerts in the U.S plus two shows in Paris during September, which were taped to create this special television event. The feature will showcase the superstars performing more than 40 songs made up of both artists’ individual hits and well as their joint tracks including “Crazy In Love” and “Drunk In Love”. In addition, there has been original performances created especially for the tour which will also be showcased in the feature.

USA Today said of the tour, “The co-ordination is not just remarkable, it’s the absolute best way that two of the world’s best performers can deliver a show that proves why they are on top together,” while the New York Times hailed it as “a show that acknowledged their two very different sorts of success without diminishing either one.”

The special concert event will premiere on FOX8 Tuesday September 23 at 7.30pm and will be the only way Australian audiences can experience the music and visual spectacle from these two musical powerhouses. Foxtel’s broadcast of One The Run follows Beyoncé’s feature-length HBO documentary Life is but a Dream, which debuted on Foxtel’s Channel [V] earlier this month.
