Jane Fonda to attend Australian premiere of Book Club

Transmission Film has announced that actress Jane Fonda (Grace and Frankie, Barbarella) will attend the Australian premiere of her upcoming comedy Book Club.

Starring alongside Diane Keaton (The Godfather), Mary Steenburgen  (Step Brothers) and Candice Bergen (Murphy Brown), Book Club centres around Diane, played by Keaton, widowed after 40 years of marriage. On the contrary, Vivian, played by Fonda, prefers her man with no strings attached. Sharon, played by Bergen, is still working through her decades-old divorce, while Carol, played by Steenburgen, is in marital slump after 35 years. However, their lives are changed when their book club covers Fifty Shades of Grey, as they discover old flames, and inspire each other to make their next life chapter the best one yet.

Fonda will attend the premiere, taking place on 26 August at the Event Bondi Junction. Fonda will also be in Australia for An Evening with Jane Fonda, taking place on Monday 27 August at the Sydney Opera House and on Tuesday 28 August at Hamer Hall, Arts Centre Melbourne.

Book Club opens in Australian cinemas 23 August, 2018. For premiere ticket purchases and general information, you can click here.
