Mario + Rabbids: Kingdom Battle is getting a Season Pass so you can keep wrecking Rabbids

Mario + Rabbids: Kingdom Battle is adding a Season Pass to roll out its post-launch content. The pass, which can be picked up for US$19.99 will net you a few goodies the moment the game launches next week with more to follow in the coming months.
Grabbing the Season Pass will get you a set of eight steampunk-themed weapons for your squad right away. Later this year, you’ll get a series of new challenge maps and more co-op maps as well. If that wasn’t enough, publisher Ubisoft has promised a full-blown story expansion will drop during 2018, though they have not yet said whether this particular content will be part of the Season Pass or not.

The turn-based strategy/RPG hybrid, which owes a bit of a debt to the XCOM series, has been one of the year’s biggest surprises for us. We recently spent an afternoon with the game at Ubisoft’s Australian HQ and came away extremely impressed with this delightfully weird little experiment.

Mario + Rabbids: Kingdom Battle is exclusive to the Nintendo Switch. It launches in Australia on August 29.
