PlayStation Network has been borked for three days, still borked right now

It hasn’t been a great weekend for the old PlayStation Network. Outages and hitches have plagued the service on a weekend that saw the launch of two high profile titles.
While these problems are not reflective of a major, platform-wide outage, there are a number of services connected to gaming and social media that Sony’s network status page indicates are “experiencing issues.”

The last update on the status page, posted this morning at 2:48am AEDT, reads: “You may have some difficulty launching games, applications, or online features. Our engineers are working to resolve the issue as soon as possible, and we thank you for your patience.”

Over at the PlayStation support Twitter yesterday, Sony had the following to say for themselves:

For Australians, the trouble began early Saturday morning, just in time to derail any weekend plans for Monster Hunter World and Dragon Ball FighterZ, both of which released last week.

We’ll keep updated on any resolutions in case its come good by the time you get home from work.
