Polyphony Digital announces Gran Turismo Sport delay

Gran Turismo fans are people of near-infinite patience. Series developer Polyphony Digital has announced that Gran Turismo Sport, the latest entry in the long-running racing series, will be delayed to 2017.

The reason for the delay is vague at best. In a PlayStation blog post, Polyphony Digital CEO Kazunori Yamauchi states that, “As we approach our planned release date in November, we realise we need more time to perfect GT Sport, to which we’ve already dedicated so must effort to since announcing the title, and do not want to compromise the experience.”

Other than the delay announcement itself, there has been no definitive release date announced as of yet. Gran Turismo Sport is a PlayStation 4 exclusive.
