Quake Champions closed beta registration is now open

The era of the team-based multiplayer shooter has well and truly returned. A closed beta for Quake Champions, Bethesda’s revival of the classic id Software franchise, is, according to this morning’s press release, “expected to begin in the coming weeks,” and sign ups are now open.

Beta sign ups are being conducted through the official site, Quake.com, and require entrants to be over the age of 18. The site has been updated to reflect what players can expect from the beta, including individual Champions, arenas and weapons.

Quake Champions is being developed by id Software for Windows PC. No date for the closed beta or retail release has been announced as of this writing.
