Sick as hell Resident Evil 3 Collector’s Edition coming to Australia

Resident Evil 3 Collector's Edition

We don’t often get excited about collector’s editions around here, but this Resident Evil 3 package is pretty special.

So what’s in it? This set contains a high-quality statue of RE3 heroine Jill Valentine, a printed art book, poster map of Raccoon City and a 2-disc soundtrack. You can snap it up at JB Hifi and EB Games in Aus, and EB Games and Mighty Ape in New Zealand. How much is that gorgeous statue going to set you back? A cool $429 AUD. Don’t worry if you can’t afford the Collector’s Ed; you can still pre-order the standard edition and get some goodies — the Classic Costume Pack.

Resident Evil 3 is the remastered edition of the classic 1999 PlayStation title. The Resident Evil 2 remake that arrived in 2019 set a new standard for remasters, and it makes sense that Capcom wants another bite at the world’s scariest apple. Set during the initial outbreak of the T-Virus, Jill must navigate Racoon City as it collapses. She’ll deal with survivors, zombies and a hulking new enemy called Nemesis that follows relentlessly in her wake.

Resident Evil 3 launches April 3, 2020 on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.

UPDATE:

Aaaand they’re gone. Keep an eye on your local retailer if you want one — second and third pre-order waves may be inbound ahead of launch.
