Sam Heughan coming to Sydney for promotion of Outlander’s second season

Sam Heughan will be making his way to Sydney for a promotional tour ahead of Outlander‘s second season.

The Scottish actor plays the role of Jamie Fraser and will be in Sydney on March 21 and March 22.

In the second season of the series, Claire (Caitriona Balfe) and Jamie (Heugen) both arrive in France and witness the Jacobite rebellion by Prince Charles Stuart while stopping the battle of Cullodon. With help from his cousin Jared, who is a local wine merchant, Jamie and Claire are thrown into the lavish lifestyle of the French society. However, political gain has proven an unfulfilling experience for both. By changing the course of history, this presents them with challenges for their relationship. It is up to Claire and Jamie to prevent the doomed fate of Highland and the extinction of  the Scottish life.

Ronald D. Moore, Jim Kohlberg, Andy Harries, Maril Davis, Ira Steven Behr, Toni Graphia and Anne Kenney serve as executive producers of Outlander, which is produced by Tall Ship Productions, Story Mining & Supply Company and Left Bank Pictures in association with Sony Pictures Television.

Outlander returns Sunday April 10 at 8.30pm on SoHo.
