Saturday Night Live 40th Anniversary Special to screen in Australia on Comedy Channel

It’s time like following Saturday Night Live’s epic 40th Anniversary Special through the internet because you aren’t able to actually watch (or stream) it that makes living in Australia seem a bit bland. To makes things better, FOXTEL have decided to air the whole shebang on Australia’s home of comedy The Comedy Channel. Saturday Night Live will air its three hour special in Australia, premiering on Saturday February 28th at 7:30pm.

Everyone who has ever been a Saturday Night Live regular, guest host, musical guest or behind-the-scenes creative force was invited to attend the gala special.

Previous cast regulars who returned to celebrate the anniversary included comedy heavyweights Jimmy Fallon, Will Ferrell, Steve Martin, Alec Baldwin, Tina Fey, Amy Poehler, Eddie Murphy, Mike Myers, Dana Carvey, Kristen Wiig, Maya Rudolph, Andy Samberg, Melissa McCarthy, Bill Hader, Chris Rock, Chevy Chase, Dan Aykroyd, Billy Crystal, Jane Curtin, Molly Shannon, and so many more.

Saturday Night celebrity hosts and comedic performers who appear in the special include Justin Timberlake, Emma Stone, Ed Norton, James Franco, Tom Hanks, Alec Baldwin, Bradley Cooper, Kerry Washington, Betty White, Jerry Seinfeld, Michael Douglas, Peyton Manning, Jim Carrey, Robert De Niro, John Goodman, as well as show first timers Jack Nicholson, Dakota Johnson and surprise guest Sarah Palin.

Throughout the show there were musical performances from Paul McCartney, Kanye West, Paul Simon, Taylor Swift, Keith Richards, Miley Cyrus, Sia and more.

Tune in to The Comedy Channel on Saturday February 28 at 7.30pm to see the Saturday Night Live 40th Anniversary Special only on Foxtel, and you’ll be able to watch the episode which has pretty much taken over the internet today with gems like THIS, THIS, and best of all, THIS.
