Film Review: Star Wars: The Last Jedi (USA, 2017) is loaded with emotional battles to win and lose

With every new Star Wars film comes the obvious comparisons to its predecessors. Yes there are epic space battles between X-Wings and Tie Fighters. Yes there are wild twirling lightsaber fights. And most importantly there is the deep, spiritual and emotional journey of our characters (some more than others). These have always and will always be the staple of Star Wars films. Where director Rian Johnson succeeds is in trying to balance the good versus evil and the light versus the dark and for a film in the middle of a trilogy that can be tricky. EA shutters Visceral Games, in-development Star Wars title delayed indefinitely

Electronic Arts have closed the doors on in-house developer Visceral Games. Our first impressions from the Star Wars Battlefront II beta

This week we had the chance to explore the open beta version of Star Wars Battlefront II, which featured a limited range of maps and modes to explore, as well as new characters, weapons and a whole lot of loot. Chief among the modes present was the ultra fun Strike Mode, which allowed players to take on the roles of either the First Order or the rebels in their attempt to defend or rescue an ancient artefact. As well as Strike Mode, the beta played host to other challenges, such as the Galactic and Starfighter Assaults and co-op Arcade mode. Here’s a few things that we learned in our time with the game.
