MTV reveals nominations for 25th Annual MTV Movie Awards with Star Wars: The Force Awakens receiving 11 nominations

Yesterday MTV revealed the nominees for this year’s MTV Movie Awards. Being its 25th year, this will be an opportunity for fans to celebrate and recognise blockbuster movies which have received critical acclaim. Melbourne’s Lido on the Roof Announces Film Program

Lido Cinemas tonight unveils their rooftop space, with James Bond’s Spectre as the first film to be shown.  The space in Hawthorn features a rooftop screen, beanbags, deck chairs, and a separate bar. Michael Fassbender’s turn in Steve Jobs looking a heck of a lot better than Kutcher’s effort…

Though he may have looked the part, the rushed job that was Jobs – starring Aston Kutcher in the lead role – was far from a critical or box office hit. But there has always been another major Steve Jobs film in the pipeline and today we got the first taste of it. Directed by prolific filmmaker Danny Boyle (Trainspotting, Slumdog Millionaire) and written by the incomparable Aaron Sorkin (The West Wing, The Social Network), the film – starring Michael Fassbender as Jobs – is looking like it will deliver on its promise of being “the” Steve Jobs film that his unique story deserved.
