Supanova Comic Con & Gaming brings an Iron Fist, a Superman and an Outlander to Brisbane and Adelaide

Supanova Comic Con & Gaming, the largest pop culture event in Australia, has dropped a massive announcement for their November tour which will be hitting Brisbane (November 10-12) and Adelaide (November 18-19) in November this year.

As Game Of Thrones currently heats up our tv screens, one of its ex-alums, Finn Jones, now fresh from his stint as Marvel’s Iron Fist and from Marvel’s The Defenders is the first major headline celebrity guest announced on the lineup that will be heading down under later in the year. The Brisbane and Adelaide events will host another small screen Superman incarnation in Supergirl’s Tyler Hoechlin. He’s also won many hearts starring as werewolf Derek Hale in Teen Wolf and will soon star on the big screen in Fifty Shades Freed, the next installment in the Fifty Shades of Grey film franchise.

For fans of romantic period drama tv series Outlander or the grisly comic book adaptation of Preacher, showing off his diversity as an actor Graham McTavish will also be in attendance. As part of the 20th Anniversary year for Buffy The Vampire Slayer, punters can meet James Marsters and co-star Nicholas Brendon. The show has been a cult hit for years and still to this day, stars from the show draw plenty of fans.

If you’re more into video games, cartoons and anime also on the lineup will be voice-actors Will Friedle (Transformers: Robots In Disguise, Boy Meets World), Johnny Yong Bosch (Bleach, Code Geass), Laura Bailey (Avengers Assemble, Dragon Ball Z) and Travis Willingham (Avengers Assemble, Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood) sharing all their insights into the wonderful world of bringing animated characters to life.

Supanova also loves to promote the world of cosplay (costume role-playing) and getting crafty. Internationally renowned costuming powerhouse Kamui Cosplay (aka Svetlana Quindt) will be travelling from Europe all the way to Oz to share her tips and tricks for making your own costumes, wigs and props. Whilst if you’re into a little bit of engineering and tinkering, animatronics puppeteer Brian Herring who brought to life the infamous BB-8 droid from Star Wars: The Force Awakens will be conducting a panel to discuss his work.

Supanova prides itself on celebrating all things pop culture, from film and television, to gaming and anime to authors, books, comics and cosplay. There will be celebrity Q&A panels, master classes and workshops, wrestling and tabletop game tournaments, as well as an entire expo floor full of shopping opportunities. And this is just the first announcement with many more guests to come.

Supanova dates:
Brisbane: November 10 – 12 2017 – Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre
Adelaide: November 18 – 19 2017 – Adelaide Showground
