Titanfall 2 gets first teaser, worldwide reveal in June

For fans of Respawn Entertainment’s clever-but-flawed multiplayer shooter Titanfall, the wait for news on the in-development sequel has been a long one. This morning, we have our first, extremely brief look at Titanfall 2.

Featuring a downed dropship, a glimpse of a Titan robot and a goddamned sword, the teaser also promises a full reveal in June. It’s an odd move on EA’s part, to tease a game two months ahead of the apparent show-and-tell. If you’ve got something to show us, then show us, dammit. Smart money’s on the reveal happening at the publisher’s much-heralded EA Play event ahead of E3 this year, but we won’t know for sure until June.

The other piece of interesting information is that, though it isn’t mentioned in the video itself, the video’s title mentions that the game is coming to “PS4, Xbox One and PC” meaning that, unlike its predecessor, Titanfall 2 will not be exclusive to Microsoft-controlled platforms.

No release window has as yet been announced.
