World of Tanks just dropped a new Australian tank onto the battlefield

We love it when esoteric Australiana finds its way into our entertainment. Take World of Tanks for example. After unleashing the AC1 Cruiser MK1 Sentinel into the game back in 2016, Wargaming now turns to another Australian tank — the Centurion Mk. V, the shuddering workhorse deployed in the Vietnam War. And you can play it right now.

Centurions were a common unit deployed by the Australian Army from 1950 to 1970, and they were sent to Vietnam where they supported firebases during what became known as the Battle of Coral-Balmoral. This battle raged from May 12 to June 6, 1968.

The Centurion has been classed as a Tier VIII vehicle, making it fairly accessible to all players, and is rolling out in-game right now if you’d like to take it for a spin.

World of Tanks is free to play on Windows PC, Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and mobile.
