Village Cinemas Australia welcomed over 2000 guests to its special film event, which celebrated the ninth annual World Autism Awareness Day.

In an effort to raise awareness and understanding of autism, Village Cinemas hosted a cinematic experience catering to those living with Autism.

In collaboration with Amaze, Sensory Friendly sessions of Disney’s Zootopia were screened at various locations, preceded by a short film Spectrospective Stories of Autism: 2016 which featured real-life personal stories from members of the community living with autism.

Village Cinemas General Manager of Sales & Marketing, Mohit Bhargava said “We are truly overwhelmed by the support of the entire community. It was fantastic to see so many individuals come along to support those living with Autism.”

“We look forward to hosting yet another event for World Autism Awareness Day next year.”
